Family Medicine Specialist Joins Visalia Medical Clinic

Visalia Medical Clinic will expand its staff in August, with the addition of a family medicine specialist.

Aaron Collins, DO, is a recent graduate of the residency program at North Colorado Family Medicine and will take his Board certification exam in October. He is a graduate of Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Florida, and served his internship at North Colorado Family Medicine. Dr. Collins is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, and Clovis West High School, so a move to Visalia is akin to moving home.

Dr. Collins chose to specialize in family medicine because it connects all ages of people, and touches on everything from sports medicine to babies to hospice care pretty much birth to death.

During his residency, Dr. Collins spent extra time working with hospice and dermatology patients to expand his knowledge in those areas. He also enjoys working in pediatrics and sports medicine. Visalia Medical Clinic offers the ability to provide the care and technology that patients need, he noted, and he plans to introduce to the Clinic osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Visalia Medical Clinic offers the expertise of more than 50 physicians, a lab, the QuickCare walk-in clinic, a wide array of diagnostic technology and a sleep lab all in one location at 5400 W. Hillsdale, Visalia. The clinic, which employs 240 employees, is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; with extended hours available through QuickCare. Also available is the full-service, on-site Boyd¹s Pharmacy. For information, call 739-2000 or visit www.vmchealth.com <http://www.visaliahealth.com> . Appointments may be requested online.
